Friday, 28th September 2007

In Canada, multiple stakes-winning 4YO stallion Vibank (Silver Deputy-Princess Ruckus, by Bold Ruckus) "has been retired for stallion duty & will stand at Park Stud in Ontario in 2008" reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Vibank (a $280,000 yearling at the 2004 Keeneland September sale) won both the Victoria Stakes & Clarendon Stakes at Woodbine in his juvenile season in 2005 (when he was a Sovereign Award finalist) & subsequently retired with 4 wins from 11 starts. His stakes-winning dam Princess Ruckus is a half sister to the multiple Gr1-winning Canadian champion sprinter & former Vinery Stud shuttler Langfuhr (Danzig-Sweet Briar Too, by Briartic).
