Monday, 25th February 2008

Lomar Park Stud's dual Gr1-winning stallion Arena (Danehill-Lee's Bid, by Tawfiq) added a black-type success (& 3rd individual stakes-winner, joining Gr1 winners Regal Cheer & Rena's Lady) when 4YO mare My Lady's Chamber (Arena-Queen's Suite, by Marauding) came from last to score a 1.75-lengths victory in yesterday's $85,000 Listed National Sprint (1400m) at Canberra. My Lady's Chamber (ridden by Jeff Lloyd for trainer Bill Prain) defeated 4YO gelding Inadesert (Desert Prince-Torlina, by Western Symphony) & 6YO gelding Phantom Tenor (Palace Music-Novel Notion, by Prego). My Lady's Chamber now has 2 wins & 6 placings (including 2007's Gr3 Hidden Dragon Doomben Roses Plate over 2020m, plus 2006's Gr1 Flight Stakes over 1600m at Randwick, Gr2 Tea Rose Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill & Gr2 Furious Stakes over 1400m at Randwick) from 19 starts for $301,800 earnings.
