Aust-Bred Slow Waltz Wins HK Gr3

In Hong Kong, former Glenlogan Park shuttler Shinko Forest (Green Desert-Park Express, by Ahonoora) added group success when Australian-bred & former Woodlands Stud 4YO gelding Slow Waltz (Shinko Forest-Tango Music, by Palace Music) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the HK$2.3 million (A$330,000) Gr3 Hong Kong-Macau Trophy (1400m) for 4YOs & up at Sha Tin. Slow Waltz (ridden by Felix Coetzee for Australian trainer John Size) scored by a neck from My Choice (Volksraad-Chianina, by Super Imposing) with a further head to fellow Australian-bred Full Of Joy (Quest For Fame-Peppie, by Danehill). Slow Waltz won the 2007 Listed Darby Munro Stakes (1200m) in Sydney when trained by John Hawkes & this was his 3rd victory in HK.
