Aust-Bred Winners In NZ

Among the Australian-bred winners in NZ were:

  • 5YO mare Altesino (More Than Ready-Maraness, by Marauding) over 1400m at Trentham for trainer Roger James; Altesino was a $130,000 yearling at the 2004 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 3YO gelding Coup Archie (Hussonet-Strawberry, by Marscay) over 1800m at Riccarton Park for trainer Michael Pitman; Coup Archie was a NZ$150,000 yearling at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka.
  • Fellow 3YO gelding King Rumba (King Cugat-Hasty Princess, by Zeditave) over 1200m at Riccarton also for trainer Michael Pitman; King Rumba was a $6,000 weanling at the 2005 Inglis Select Sale & subsequently a NZ$8,000 2YO at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock South Island Sale.
  • 4YO mare Amazing Magic (Bellotto-Salmonise, by Salmon Leap) over 1200m at Cromwell for trainer K.King; Amazing Magic was an $8,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
