Black Minx Wins McDougall Stakes

Woodlands Stud 11-time Gr1-winning World Champion Miler & Australian Racehorse-Of-The-Year Lonhro (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when favoured daughter Black Minx (Lonhro-Faith Hill, by Danehill) maintained her unbeaten record with a 2-lengths victory in the $100,000 Listed McDougall Stakes (1000m) for 2YO fillies at Eagle Farm. Top-weighted Black Minx (ridden by Jim Byrne for trainer Mark Webb) defeated Saratoga (Show A Heart-Peppen Bay, by Mister Kwila) & Lucky Kentucky (Lucky Owners-Hanging Garden, by Woodman). Black Minx (a $260,000 yearling consigned by Willow Park Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 3 wins from 3 starts for $149,000 prize-money.
