Inglis Melb Yearlings Day-2: $300k Al Maher Colt
Tuesday, 4th March 2008
Melbourne trainer Mick Price out-bid fellow trainer Gerald Ryan & paid $300,000 for a colt from the 1st-crop of Gr1-winning Emirates Park stallion Al Maher (the 1st foal out of 6-time-winning 7YO Geiger Counter mare Cosmic Beam) consigned by Swettenham Stud as agent. The colt's dam Cosmic Beam is a half-sister to stakes-winner Egyptian Ibis (dam of Australian Gr1-winner & subsequent Hong Kong star Desert Eagle-Grand Delight).
