Inglis Melb Yearlings Day-2: Cumulative Average Up 26%
Overall on Day-2 at the Inglis Premier Sale, the momentum from Sunday's opening session continued & auction is set to register record figures across the board. Cumulatively after 2 days, 311 yearlings have sold for $26,406,000 & the cumulative average of $84,907 is up 26% from last year, while the cumulative median of $70,000 is up 40%. Inglis director Peter Heagney summed up: "The continued strength of the trade today has been a real feature of the sale & the clearance rate of 81.4% attests to that. The depth of buying bench shows that if the right horses are in the catalogue, people will come to Melbourne & the breeders have to be commended on the standard of presentation this year."
