Royal Academy Adds German Black-Type
Also in Europe, Coolmore shuttler Royal Academy (Nijinsky-Crimson Saint, by Crimson Satan) added a German black-type success when Merlerault (Royal Academy-Jungle Rhythm, by Rhythm) scored a 0.75-lengths victory in the Listed Sandbahn Grand Prix (1900m) for 4YOs & up at Neuss. Merlerault (ridden by Stephane Pasquier for trainer P.Demercastle) defeated Personal Power (Dashing Blade-Personal Hope, by Great Lakes) & Led Zeppelin (Silvano-Lolli Pop, by Cagliostro). Last year Merlerault also won France's Listed Grand Prix De La Riviera Cote D'Azur (2000m) at Cagnes-sur-Mer.
