Elusive Quality Adds Dubai Gr3

Friday, 7th March 2008

Also in Dubai overnight, Darley shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a group success when Godolphin's 4YO entire Elusive Warning (Elusive Quality-Valid Warning, by Valid Appeal) scored a half-length victory in the US$200,000 Gr3 Burj Nahaar Stakes (1600m) at Nad Al Sheba. US-bred Elusive Warning (ridden by Australian jockey Kerrin McEvoy for trainer Saeed bin Suroor) defeated Irish-bred stable-mate Blackat Blackitten (Inchinor-Tara's Girl, by Fayruz) & Argentine-bred Asiatic Boy (Not For Sale-SS Asiatic, by Polish Navy) who was last year's UAE Triple Crown winner. Elusive Warning (from the family of US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner & former Vinery Stud shuttler Gilded Time) was unbeaten as a 3YO (winning twice over 6 furlongs at Aqueduct) before showing promise over the same trip on his UAE debut last month; he will now be aimed at the Gr2 Godolphin Mile at Nad al Sheba on World Cup night (March 29).
