US Sire Kazoo Retired To Bogart Stables
In the US, Gr3-winning stallion Kazoo (Tabasco Cat-Vennila Cream, by Valid Appeal) "has been retired from racing & will enter stud at Bogart Stables in Ohio," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Stud owner Bob Bogart noted: "He's a graded stakes-winner out of a mare who won multiple stakes & that alone sums him up pretty well. He's very well balanced & is a sound horse & I think that's very credible. I remember years ago when they'd stress how sound a horse was & how long he ran when they'd advertise a stallion: I guess that's gone by the wayside some. But I know many breeders are looking for a hard-knocker with no physical flaws." Kazoo notched 10 wins from 51 starts (including the 2006 Gr3 Toboggan Handicap at Aqueduct & 2002 Listed Gaudin Memorial Handicap at Fair Grounds, plus runner-up in the 2006 Gr2 Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland) for US$637,000 earnings.
