Grand Nirvana Wins Supremacy Stakes

Monday, 10th March 2008

Ill-fated former Durham Lodge stallion Scenic (Sadler's Wells-Idyllic, by Foolish Pleasure) added a juvenile black-type success when debutant gelded son Grand Nirvana (Scenic-Paradise Park, by Bletchley Park) scored a 1.5-lengths victory against more experienced rivals in the $70,000 Listed Supremacy Stakes (1100m) for 2YOs at Ascot. Favourite Grand Nirvana (ridden by William Pike for trainer Fred Kersley) defeated fellow geldings Hawkeye Mort (Fighting Falcon-Nordanseuse, by Hideyoshi) & Hermosa Corona (Beautiful Crown-If You Believe, by Al Hareb). Grand Nirvana now has $45,800 earnings. (Click on the link for full race details from Group Race Results at AAP Racing.)
