Byerley Stud stallion Nothin' Leica Dane (Danehill-Leica Pretender, by Sir Tristram) added a black-type success when favoured 4YO mare Hot Danish (Nothin' Leica Dane-Hit 'n' Breezy, by Zephyr Zip) returned from a 47-weeks spell to score a 1-length victory in the $100,000 Listed Triscay Stakes (1200m) for fillies & mares at Rosehill. Hot Danish (ridden by Tim Clark for trainer Les Bridge) defeated Fritz's Princess (More Than Ready-Superb Lady, by Canny Lad) & I Have No Fear (Rock Of Gibraltar-Countess Christie, by Marscay). Hot Danish (a $32,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Scone Sale) now has 6 wins (also including 2007's Gr2 Woodlands Emancipation Stakes over 1400m at Randwick & Listed Keith Nolan Classic over 1600m at Kembla Grange) from just 7 starts for $319,380 earnings.
