Miss Finland Retired & Heading To Hussonet

Meanwhile managing owner John Messara & trainer David Hayes confirmed 5-time Gr1-winning 4YO mare Miss Finland (Redoute's Choice-Forest Pearl, by Woodman) will now be retired to stud after finishing 5th behind Sirmione (in the field of 10) in the Gr1 Australian Cup. Her 1st breeding appointment will be with boom Arrowfield Stud stallion Hussonet (Mr Prospector-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba). Miss Finland (a $450,000 yearling consigned by Arrowfield at the 2005 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) retires with 11 wins (including 2007's Gr1 Arrowfield Stud Stakes over 2000m at Rosehill, Gr1 Cadbury Guineas over 1600m at Caulfield, Gr2 Memsie Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield & Gr2 Angus Armanasco Stakes over 1600m at Caulfield, plus 2006's Gr1 Victoria Oaks over 2500m, Gr1 Thousand Guineas over 1600m, Gr3 Tranquil Star Stakes over 1400m & Gr3 McNeil Stakes over 1200m, as well as juvenile triumphs in both the Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes over 100m at Rosehill & Listed Talindert Stakes) & 6 placings (including last start's Gr1 Futurity Stakes over 1600m at Caulfield on March 1, plus 2007's Gr1 Yalumba Stakes over 2000m at Caulfield & Gr1 Underwood Stakes over 1800m at Caulfield, as well as 2006's Gr2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1610m & both the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes & Gr1 Champagne Stakes as a 2YO) from 26 starts for $4,635,375 earnings.
