Rogerson Rejects $1m Offer For Cent Per Cent

Thursday, 13th March 2008

Trainer Graeme Rogerson revealed he has "knocked back $1 million offers for Magic Millions hope Cent Per Cent" (Secret Savings-Minnie Me, by Snippets) reported Brisbane's Courier-Mail newspaper. Rogerson "shrugged off concerns about 3YO gelding Cent Per Cent drawing the 2nd outside barrier in Saturday's $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill", noting: "He is unbeaten this time in work & going well. I think he will still win." Cent Per Cent is also currently $6 favourite for the Magic Millions Trophy (1400m) at the Gold Coast on Monday week (March 24) & Rogerson confirmed he is "a certain runner", adding: "We own him ourselves & have knocked back 7-figure offers for him. He can win that in his next couple of starts in million-dollar races." Cent Per Cent (a $120,000 yearling at the 2006 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) made it 3 successive wins with victory (carrying top-weight) in the Magic Millions Stakes (1300m) at Wyong on February 24 to take his record to 5 wins (also including the Listed Gosford Guineas over 1200m on February 10) from 9 starts for $351,450 earnings.
