Proinn Enters Singapore Sponsorship Agreement

Friday, 14th March 2008

In Singapore, Australian construction company Proinn has entered into an annual sponsorship arrangement at Kranji with the Singapore Turf Club. Starting in 2009, this will coincide with Proinn beginning research in conjunction with the STC into track surfaces & other associated subjects. Proinn (the Australasian representative for English company Martin Collins) will replace the existing Kranji fibresand track with Polytrack, starting work in July. Singapore will be the 1st Asian country to use the patented Martin Collins surface for racing. "The Polytrack will be a big asset for Singapore racing," noted Proinn's Kim Elliott. "Its unique cushioning effect helps dissipate concussion forces to provide a racing surface that reduces injury. Horses will be able to have a longer racing life. It gives a secure footing as well as being more load-bearing than sand, which will allow for more races to be run. No other synthetic track is closer to turf than ours."
