In New Zealand, Highview Stud principal Brent Gillovic announced a "change of plans" with  Gr1-winning Australian-bred stallion Align (Night Shift-Super Trend, by Red Anchor) now staying as a stallion for the coming season. Earlier this month, Align notched his latest juvenile Gr1 triumph when star 2YO colt Fully Fledged (Align-Fledged, by Bluebird) won New Zealand's Gr1 Ford Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Ellerslie. Last season Align produced: unbeaten champion NZ 2YO Nightlign (Align-Indian Squaw, by Carolingian) whose victories included the Gr1 Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes; Gr2 NZ Cup winner Everswindell (Align-Hilarion Lady, by St Hilarion) who was also runner-up in the Gr1 NZ 1000 Guineas; & Gr3 Desert Gold Stakes winner Out Of Align (Align-Limerick Lea, by McGinty). Align himself won 4 of 18 starts in Australia (including the Gr1 AJC Sires' Produce Stakes & Gr2 Todman Slipper Trial).
