Lords Ransom Wins Pinjarra Cup

Lindsay Park's ill-fated stallion & 1994 Gr1 Melbourne Cup winner Jeune (Kalaglow-Youthful, by Green Dancer) added a black-type success when favoured 4YO gelding Lords Ransom (Jeune-Palace Alice, by Palace Music) made it 4 successive wins with a 1.5-lengths victory in yesterday's $100,000 Listed Pinjarra Cup (2400m) at Ascot in Perth. Lords Ransom (ridden by William Pike for trainer Adam Durrant) defeated 7YO gelding Action Pak (Star Pak-Mixed Affair, by Cheraw) & fellow 4YO gelding Guyno (O'Reilly-River Century, by Centaine). Lords Ransom (a $15,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 7 wins (also including last start's Listed Bunbury Cup over 2200m on March 13, plus 2007's Listed Belmont Classic over 2200m) & a placing from 10 starts for $280,970 earnings.
