Magic Millions Day-2: $1m Redoute's Choice Colt
In the auction ring, Dean Watt's Dynamic Syndications paid the Day-2 top price of $1 million for a colt by star Arrowfield Stud stallion & former Australian champion sire Redoute's Choice (the 6th foal out of 12-year-old multiple Gr1 & multiple Gr2-winning Success Express mare Savannah Success) during yesterday's 2nd session of the 8-day Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Queensland Gold Coast. The colt was consigned by Gerry Harvey's Baramul Stud & his dam Savannah Success has previously produced both multiple Gr1-winning & multiple Gr1-placed sire Savabeel, as well as stakes-placed Arlington. Watt commented: "He's a cracking colt. He's by a champion stallion, he's a half-brother to a star I had a bit to do with (Savabeel) & his mother was a top racemare & she's becoming one of the top-producing mares around. The pedigree is getting up as one of the best in the studbook. We thought at $1 million he represented outstanding value." Watt added the colt would be syndicated among clients & he was confident it would be completed "within 24-48 hours."
