Benny The Bull Wins Gr1 Dubai Golden Shaheen
US-bred 5YO entire Benny The Bull (Lucky Lionel-Comet Cat by Birdonthewire) motored home from back in the field to swamp the leaders in the final stages & grab a 1.75-lengths victory in the US$2 million Gr1 Dubai Golden Shaheen (1200m on dirt) at Nad Al Sheba. Benny The Bull (ridden by Edgar Prado for trainer Richard Dutrow) defeated fellow US-bred pair, front-running 4YO entire Idiot Proof (Benchmark-Perfectly Pretty, by Bertrando) & 6YO entire Star Crowned (Kingmambo-Fashion Star, by Chief's Crown). Last season Benny The Bull won November's US Gr1 Frank De Francis Memorial Dash (6 furlongs) at Laurel Park in Maryland, after finishing 4th in the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Sprint & 2nd in the Gr1 Forego Handicap. Overall he now has 7 wins from 15 starts for US$1,833,550 earnings.
