Former Coolmore shuttler Honour And Glory (Relaunch-Fair To All, by Al Nasr) added a major group success when Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum's Argentine-bred 3YO colt Honour Devil (Honour And Glory-Diamond Fitz, by Fitzcarraldo) crushed his rivals by 4.25-lengths in the US$2 million Gr2 UAE Derby (1800m on dirt) at Nad Al Sheba. Honour Devil (ridden by Johnny Murtagh for South African trainer Mike de Kock) defeated South African-bred fellow colt & stable-mate Royal Vintage (Rich Man's Gold-Derry Wood, by Fort Wood) & Godolphin's Chilean-bred UAE 1000 Guineas & UAE Oaks-winning 3YO filly Cocoa Beach (Doneraile Court-Visionera, by Edgy Diplomat). At his previous start Honour Devil was beaten by a head (by South African Gr2-winner Royal Vintage) in the Mujahid Al Bastakiya at Nad al Sheba on March 6, after defeating Royal Vintage by a half-length in the Gr3 UAE 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Nad Al Sheba on February 14.
