Pravana Wins Aspiration Quality

Former Widden Stud shuttler Anabaa (Danzig-Balbonella, by Gay Mecene) added a black-type success (& 54th individual stakes-winner) when favoured 5YO mare Pravana (Anabaa-Pravda, by Zabeel) motored home from back in the field to score a 1.25-lengths victory in the $75,000 Listed Aspiration Quality (1600m) for fillies & mares at Randwick. Pravana (ridden by Tim Clark for trainer John O'Shea) defeated fellow 5YO mares Fancyfree (Danasinga-Girls Talk, by Festal) & Grey Stream (Lion Hunter-Ella Mukkadella, by Mukaddamah). Pravana (a NZ$275,000 yearling at the 2004 NZB Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 5 wins & a runner-up from 9 starts for $90,800 earnings.
