Pepper Oaks Farm Closes & Swiss Yodeler Moves

Tuesday, 1st July 2008

Owner Patricia Youngman announced Santa Ynez-based Pepper Oaks Farm "will close its doors effective July 1" (today) & 14-year-old stallion Swiss Yodeler "will be relocating to another California farm," reported bloodhorse.com. While at Pepper Oaks, Swiss Yodeler "has risen to the top of California's stallion ranks, especially as a sire of 2YOs: he is currently the state's leader by number of winners in 2008 & for 2007 he led by number of winners & number of races won". His foals have included champion sprinter Thor's Echo & stakes-winners Oberwald, Swiss Current & Swiss Diva. Pepper Oaks reduced its breeding stock & limited the stallion barn to just Swiss Yodeler when Youngman first down-sized in late 2006.
