Sheikh Plans Warwick Farm Overseas Rider Influx

Tuesday, 1st July 2008

Sheikh Mohammed's "pursuit of excellence is about to result in an influx of overseas work riders at his Crown Lodge stables at Warwick Farm in Sydney," reported The Sydney Morning Herald. The newspaper added: "The Dubai ruler's $460 million buy-out of Bob Ingham's vast Woodlands Stud empire doesn't involve cost savings." Crown Lodge head trainer Peter Snowden noted the Sheikh didn't want "to be pinching riders from other stables. Experienced work riders are hard to find. This can only be good for everyone in the industry."
