Indian Blessing Wins US Gr1 Prioress Stakes

Monday, 7th July 2008

A muddy track on Saturday provided the setting for Champion US 2YO Filly Indian Blessing (Indian Charlie-Shameful, by Flying Chevron) to return to winning ways. Following two runner-ups in her most recent outings, Indian Blessing bolted home in the US$250,000 Gr1 Prioress Breeders' Cup Stakes (6 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Belmont Park in New York. Ridden by John Velazquez for trainer Bob Baffert, Indian Blessing defeated By The Light (Malibu Moon-Dixie Tempo, by Major Impact) & Indian Way (Indian Charlie-Ghazo, by Ghazi). She is now the winner of 6 races with 2 runner-ups from 8 starts, and has earnings of US$1.8 million.
