1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Haasil

US 10-year-old freshman sire Haasil (Machiavellian-Mahasin, by Danzig) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt Bold Reward (Haasil-Scher Bold, by Scherando) scored by 4-lengths also over 5.5 furlongs at the Solano County Fair for trainer William Morey, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Irish-bred Haasil (who stands at Rivendell Ranch in California) made his track debut in England for Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum before being shipped to North America in 2003; overall he notched 4 wins from 21 starts. He is a half-brother to both Gr2-winning sire Elhayq & multiple Gr3-winner Shibl.
