1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Top Hit

US Gr3-winning 10-year-old freshman sire Top Hit (Twining-Popular Tune, by Stop The Music) recorded his 1st winner with his 1st starter when Lucayan Secret (Top Hit-Seattle Secret, by Capote) scored by 3-lengths on debut over 5.5 furlongs at the Solano County Fair for trainer William Morey, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Top Hit (whose multiple stakes-winning dam Popular Tune is a half-sister to 1985 champion older horse & sire Vanlandingham) stands at Triple AAA Ranch in Arizona. On the track, Top Hit (a half-brother to multiple stakes-winner Crafty Star) notched 7 wins (including the 2001 Gr3 Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park) from 36 starts for US $445,357 earnings.
