Danetime Adds Irish Gr3

Tuesday, 15th July 2008

In Ireland, ill-fated former Western Australia-based Alwyn Park Stud shuttler Danetime (Danehill-Allegheny River, by Lear Fan) added a juvenile group success when the colt Bushranger (Danetime-Danz Danz, by Efisio) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in the €75,000 (A$128,000) Gr3 Anglesey Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YOs at The Curragh. Bushranger (ridden by Wayne Lordan for trainer David Wachman) defeated favoured colt Westphalia (Danehill Dancer-Pharapache, by Lyphard) & UK-bred colt Kamado (Kyllachy-Palacegate Episode, by Drumalis). At his previous start, Bushranger finished runner-up in last month's UK Listed Windsor Castle Stakes (5 furlongs) at Royal Ascot; overall he now has 2 wins & a runner-up from 3 starts. Bushranger was sold for €15,000 (A$26,000) as a foal at Goffs.
