Quarantine Talks Continue For Melb Cup Hopes

Racing Victoria chairman Michael Duffy confirmed RV chief veterinary surgeon Paul O'Callaghan is continuing negotiations with the Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service in the on-going bid to allow Japanese horses to compete at this year's Melbourne spring carnival. Duffy said one proposal is for horses to split 6 weeks in quarantine between Japan, Singapore & Australia before competing in Melbourne.
