Aust Jockey Purton Plans 5-8 Years In HK

Thursday, 17th July 2008

Hong Kong-based Australian jockey Zac Purton (who landed 29 winners in his 1st HK season) hopes to keep riding in Asia for "5-8 years unless I get a good offer to come home". Purton, 25, told Radio TAB: "I've got a contract for the whole of next season, but if I have a successful season I'd like to stay there for between 5-8 years, unless I get a good offer to come home. I still speak to a few trainers here (in Australia), but I'm committed to Hong Hong & I'm happy to be there. The whole reason I went there was for the experience & to ride internationally."
