However multiple stakes-winning 2YO gelding Youthful Jack (Youthful Legs-Formative, by White Bridle) "will continue his racing career in Australia, after failing a veterinary check to compete in Hong Kong" reported The Daily Telegraph. Part-owner Ross Stitt was offered $800,000 for Youthful Jack "bit it was taken from the negotiating table after the vet check revealed he had slight breathing problems". Youthful Jack (a $1,800 weanling at the 2006 Inglis/Pitt, Son & Keane Scone Sale) is currently in a spelling paddock outside Toowoomba, following his last-start victory in the Listed Australia Post Stakes (1400m) at Eagle Farm in Brisbane on June 21. Overall he boasts 7 wins (also including the Listed Doomben Slipper over 1350m on May 24) & 2 placings (including May's Listed Golden Stakes over 1200m at Doomben) from 10 starts for $271,600 earnings.
