JJ The Jet Plane Wins SAf Gr1 Mercury Sprint

In South Africa overnight, boom 3YO gelding JJ The Jet Plane (Jet Master-Majestic Guest, by Northern Guest) notched his 3rd successive Gr1 triumph over the last 2 months with a 4-lengths victory against older rivals in the R500,000 (A$72,000) weight-for-age Gr1 Mercury Sprint (1200m) at Clairwood. Favourite JJ The Jet Plane (ridden by Piere Strydom for trainer Lucky Houdalakis) defeated 4YO Rebel King (National Emblem-Cousin Linda, by Badger Land) & Senjor Josh. JJ The Jet Plane "will now be transferred to the stable of Mike De Kock, with his possible aim being the Gr1 Hong Kong International Sprint in December en route to other major international targets including Dubai," reported SAHorseracing.com. At his previous starts JJ The Jet Plane won both South Africa's Gr1 Computaform Sprint (1000m) at Turffontein & Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint (1200m) at Scottsville.
