4 Aust-Bred Winners In South Africa

In South Africa, 4 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Clairwood:

  • 5YO gelding Wildhay (Fusaichi Pegasus-Rose Or Gina, by Danehill) won over 2000m for trainer Joey Ramsden. Wildhav was passed-in for $90,000 at the 2004 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney.
  • 3YO Devistar (Danzero-Une Galere, by Soviet Star) won over 1000m for trainer Dave Goss. Devistar was a $40,000 purchase consigned by Bellerive Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
  • 3YO filly Bel's Empress (Bel Esprit-Princess O'Rourke, by King Of Kings) won over 1600m for trainer Terry Lowe. Bel's Rmpress was a $10,000 yearling at the 2006 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale.
  • 2YO colt Considered Choice (Choisir-Regal County, by Lake Coniston) won on debut over 1100m for trainer Charles Laird. Considered Choice was a $400,000 yearling at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale.
