Bullmore Set For Big 2nd Season
Queensland's Noralla Stud is preparing for a busy season with impeccably-bred young Danehill stallion Bullmore (Danehill-Strawberry Girl, by Strawberry Road) in big demand. Bullmore is a full-brother to NZ Highview Stud's Danroad (NZ's leading 1st-season sire this year, whose progeny include Gr1 T.J.Smith Classic winner Rockdale) plus Hong Kong & Randwick winner Viking Tor. His half-siblings include stakes-winners Tippitaka & Cedar Town Farm sire Newtown Jet. Finishing a short-neck runner-up to champion Apache Cat in the Listed Gibson Carmichael Stakes at Flemington, Bullmore was a precocious juvenile who picked up 2 stakes cheques as a 2YO (including the Gr3 SA Sires Produce Stakes). Bullmore made his breeding debut last year only to have EI preclude most of the mares booked to him. He nonetheless still served 49 top mares (by sires including Last Tycoon, Canny Lad, Snippets, Bluebird, Success Express, Twig Moss, Royal Academy & Star Way). Standing at Gladfield-based Noralla Stud near Warwick on Queensland's Darling Downs, Bullmore's 2008 fee is $4,400.
