Ecstasy Charge Dropped Against Katsidis
Brisbane premiership-winning jockey Stathi Katsidis was disqualified from driving for 9 months (after testing with a blood alcohol level of 0.163) & fined $500 for possession of the steroid Clenbuterol, but had a charge for possession of the drug ecstasy dropped in a Toowoomba court yesterday. Katsidis, 29, was charged in February after being stopped by police while driving from Brisbane to Toowoomba. Katsidis is currently suspended for 9 months from riding in races & trackwork after a urine sample provided on April 30 showed traces of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy).
