Friday, 25th July 2008

Lindsay Park Stud's 12-year-old stallion Alannan (a multiple Gr2 winner & Gr1-placed sprinter in the US, who smashed Distorted Humor's 7 furlongs track record at Churchill Downs & was rated 2nd highest-weighted sprinter world-wide for the colts of 1996) "has been sold to continue his stallion career at the newly established M'Drak Stud Farm in Vietnam," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Kentucky-bred Alannan (Conquistador Cielo-Dame Sybil, by Elocutionist) won both the US 2001 Gr2 Commonwealth Breeders' Cup Stakes & Gr2 Lane's End Churchill Downs Handicap. He stood at Lindsay Park in 2007 for $8,250. Stakes-winning stallion Lions Gate (Danehill-Kensington Gardens, by Grosvenor) "will also relocate from Lindsay Park to M'Drak Stud".
