Monday, 28th July 2008

In Canada, former Vinery Stud shuttler & US Gr1 Hollywood Derby winner Brahms (Danzig-Queens, by Mr Prospector) added a black-type success when US-bred 5YO son Test Boy (Brahms-Soundproof, by Ela-mana-mou) scored a half-length victory in the C$50,000 Listed Don Fleming Handicap (8.5 furlongs) at Northlands Park to take this race for the 2nd year in succession. Test Boy (ridden by Rickey Walcott for trainer Robertino Diodoro) defeated Teagues Fight (Devonwood-One Hundred Plus, by Claim) & US-bred Inuit Fisher (Mutakddim-Ptarmigan Hunting, by Tejano Run). Last year Test Boy also won Canada's Listed Teeworth Plate Handicap (8 furlongs) at Stampede Park; & as a 2YO in 2005, he won both the US Listed Mec Mile (8 furlongs) & US Listed Centennial Stakes (8 furlongs on turf) at Remington Park.
