Darley Confirms McEvoy As Aust Stable Jockey

Darley announced it has appointed Kerrin McEvoy as its Australian stable jockey "based in Sydney & given the opportunity to ride all Sheikh Mohammed's race horses in Australia". Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock advisor John Ferguson commented: "During his time in Europe, Kerrin has proved himself as a world class rider & we are delighted that he will be riding for Darley Australia". McEvoy added: "I am pleased to be continuing my close association with Sheikh Mohammed. Darley is one of Australia's leading stables & it is an honour to be part of such a great team. I cannot wait to get going". McEvoy's 1st riding engagements when he returns to Australia from his current base in the UK will be at Kembla Grange on Wednesday August 6.
