Coolmore shuttler & former world champion 2YO Johannesburg (Hennessy-Myth, by Ogygian) added a UK juvenile group success (& 19th stakes-winner worldwide) when daughter African Skies (Johannesburg-Rababah, by Woodman) scored a 1-length victory in the £50,000 (A$105,000) Gr3 Princess Margaret Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YO fillies at Ascot. African Skies (ridden by Neil Callan for trainer Kevin Ryan) defeated the Irish-bred pair Rosabee (No Excuse Needed-Tilbrook, by Don't Forget Me) & Excellerator (Exceed And Excel-Amsicora, by Cadeaux Genereux). African Skies now has a win & a runner-up from 3 starts for £34,110 (A$72,000) earnings; she was a 52,000 guineas (A$114,000) yearling at the Tattersalls October Sale.
