Tobougg Adds UK Black-Type

Former star juvenile & dual Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Tobougg (Barathea-Lacovia, by Majestic Light) added a UK black-type success when 4YO mare Sweet Lilly (Tobougg-Maristax, by Reprimand) "flew down the centre of the track, coming from last-to-first to record a comprehensive 1.25-lengths victory" in the £40,000 (A$84,000) Listed Lyric Stakes (10.5 furlongs for fillies & mares on the Knavesmire at York, reported sportinglife.com. Sweet Lilly (ridden by Edward Creighton for trainer Mick Channon) defeated fellow 4YO mare Soft Morning (Pivotal-Summer Night, by Nashwan) & US-bred 3YO filly Makaaseb (Pulpit-Turn And Sparkle, by Danzatore). Earlier this season Sweet Lilly finished runner-up in May's UK Listed Festival Stakes (10 furlongs) at Goodwood; last season she won the UK Listed Atalanta Stakes (8 furlongs) against older rivals at Sandown Park & in 2006 she also won the Listed Silver Tankard Stakes (8 furlongs) at Pontefract (among 4 victories as a juvenile). Overall Sweet Lilly now has 6 wins & 6 placings from 24 starts for £119,515 (A$250,000) earnings.
