NZB South Sale: NZ$140k Royal Ambition

In the Kiwi auction ring, Australia agent Colm Santry Bloodstock paid top price of NZ$140,000 for stakes-placed 5YO mare Royal Ambition (Royal Academy-Ambitious, by Last Tycoon) during the 1-day NZ Bloodstock South Island Sale of 2YOs & Mixed Bloodstock at Canterbury Agricultural Park in Christchurch. Royal Ambition (whose dam Ambitious ran 2nd in the Gr1 NZ 1000 Guineas) was consigned by Chelandry Farms & will now be bred to Coolmore's 1st-season sire & champion racehorse Dylan Thomas.
