1st Winner For Canadian Freshman Sire Patrol
In Canada, 9YO freshman sire Patrol (Lear Fan-Maid For Walking, by Prince Sabo) recorded his 1st winner when Sneaky Patrol (Patrol-Voices carry, by Ascot Knight) led all-the-way for a 0.75-length win over 7 furlongs at Woodbine for trainer Sandra Dominguez, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Patrol (a half-brother to Gr1winning sire Stroll) stood the 2008 season at T.C. Westmeath Stud Farm in Ontario & has 19 2YOs in his 1st-crop. On the track, Patrol won 6 of 19 starts (3 stakes victories including the US 2003 Dallas Turf Cup Handicap, plus placings in both the US 2003 Gr1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes & Gr2 National Museum Of Racing Hall of Fame Handicap) & earned US$411,911.
