Meanwhile US Gr2-winning 15-year-old sire Trail City (Red Ransom-Willow Runner, by Alydar) died at Allaire Farms in Washington state, reported bloodhorse.com. Kentucky-bred Trail City is represented by 46 winners (including stakes-winners Trail Mix, Trail This, Sawtelle Belle & Skyline Trail). On the track, Trail City won or placed in 16 of 25 starts (including victory in the 1996 Gr2 Arlington Classic Stakes) & earned US$658,794.
