Conquering Wins D'Urban Quality Stakes

Greta West sire Dangerous (Danehill-Antwerp, by Sir Tristram) added a black-type success when 6YO gelding Conquering (Dangerous-Currently, by Acidity) scored a 1-length victory in the $100,000 Listed D'Urban Stakes (1700m) at Caulfield. Conquering (ridden by Darren Gauci for trainer Charlie Goggin) defeated 4YO entire Zagreb (Zabeel-Dansino, by Danehill) & favoured 5YO gelding Moreton Bay (Zabeel-Stella's Pantry, by Danewin). Conquering took his record to 13 wins (also including last season's Listed Kevin Sharkie Tasmanian Stakes over 1600m at Mowbray) & 14 placings (including 2006's Listed Tattersall's George Adams Plate over 1600m at Mowbray & Listed Tasmanian Guineas over 1600m at Mowbray) from 45 starts for $408,775 earnings.
