Star Arrowfield Stud stallion & former champion Australian sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a group success when Gr1-winning daughter Samantha Miss (Redoute's Choice-Milliyet, by Zabeel) made it 3 successive group victories in a month since returning from a 16-weeks spell with a 1.75-lengths win in the $150,000 Gr2 Tea Rose Stakes (1500m) for 3YO fillies at Rosehill. Favourite Samantha Miss (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Kris Lees) defeated Kimillsy (Danehill Dancer-Lady Fidelia, by Snippets) & Glowlamp (Encosta De Lago-Push A Venture, by Shirley Heights). Samantha Miss (a $1.5 million yearling consigned by Willow Park at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 5 wins (also including her previous 2 starts in the Gr3 Silver Shadow Stakes over 1200m at Warwick Farm on August 23 & Gr2 Furious Stakes over 1400m at Randwick on September 9, plus May's Gr1 Champagne Stakes over 1600m at Randwick) & 2 placings (in April's Gr1 Inglis AJC Sires' Produce Stakes over 1400m at Randwick & March's Gr3 Sweet Embrace Stakes over 1200m at Randwick) from 8 starts for $667,360 earnings. Meanwhile Samantha Miss has now won the initial 3 legs legs of the 2008 Sydney Spring Princess Series & her next start will be in the final leg: the Gr1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on October 4.
