$2m Sadler's Wells Colt 2nd On Debut

In Australia, $2 million 3YO colt Seventh Reason (Sadler's Wells-Sunday Joy, by Sunday Silence) finished 2nd by a nose on debut yesterday over 1550m on the Kensington track at Royal Randwick in Sydney for trainer Gai Waterhouse. Seventh Reason (purchased by Waterhouse for a sale-topping $2 million from the draft of John Singleton's Strawberry Hill Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Gold Coast Premier Yearling Sale) was pipped by Patinack Farm's fellow 3YO colt Rollins (Fusaichi Pegasus-Talk Band, by Dixieland Band) who in contrast was originally a $15,000 weanling consigned by Oaklands Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions National Sale & subsequently a $41,000 purchase consigned by Raheen Stud at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.
