Goffs Yearlings Day-2: $544k Montjeu Colt

Wednesday, 1st October 2008

Blandford Bloodstock agent Tom Goff (standing with trainer Dermot Weld) paid €320,000 (A$544,000) for a colt by dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (out of Shirley heights mare Top Lady) consigned from Barronstown Stud. The colt's dam Top Lady is a half-sister to Gr1-winning juvenile Emmson & Goff told racingpost.co.uk: "He's a cracking colt: a very well made sort from an excellent family & he comes from a very attractive cross, being out of a Shirley Heights mare."
