US Stud Fees: Where Are They Headed?

With the prices for sale yearlings falling & world economic problems rising, "many breeders are hoping to save money on stud fees in 2009" reported bloodhorse.com. Stallion managers in Kentucky are expected to begin announcing the amounts they will charge soon & several revealed they "would be more likely to keep their fees the same than go down." They also plan to "raise the fees for some stallions whose progeny have been performing well on the racetrack."
