Friday, 3rd October 2008

In the US, Darley shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a juvenile group success when unbeaten colt Elusive Bluff (Elusive Quality-Megans Bluff, by Pine Bluff) snatched victory by a neck in the US$160,000 Gr3 Pilgrim Stakes (8.5 furlongs on turf) for 2YOs at Belmont Park in New York. Elusive Bluff (ridden by Michael Baze for trainer Eric Guillot) defeated front-running gelding Show Me The Cash (Artax-Unbridled Cyclone, by Judge TC) & fellow colt Relatively Ready (More Than Ready-Relativa, by Parade Marshal). Kentucky-bred Elusive Bluff now has 2 wins from 2 starts (following a debut victory over 8 furlongs on turf at Belmont on September 5) for US$127,380 earnings.
