5 Aust-Breds Win In NZ

In addition to the stakes victories by Princess Coup & Tell A Tale (above) 3 other Australian-bred gallopers scored in NZ over the weekend:

  • 4YO gelding Hold It Harvey (King Cugat-Daly Charm, by Best Western) won over 1600m at Riccarton for trainer Terri Rae. Hold It Harvey was a $16,000 yearling consigned by Baramul Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions National Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Sladdens (French Deputy-Springtime Sunray, by Gulch) won over 1400m at Riccarton for trainers Mandy & Matt Brown. Sladdens was a $55,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
  • 4YO mare Cherry Creek (Monashee Mountain-Stage Flash, by Lake Coniston) won over 1200m at Riccarton for trainers Brian & Shane Anderton. Consigned by White Robe Lodge, Cherry Creek was passed in as a 2YO for NZ$16,000 at the 2006 NZB South Island Sale.
