Arc Sale: $1.122m Elusive Wave

In the French auction ring, Michel Zerolo from Oceanic Bloodstock (acting on behalf of American owner Martin Schwartz) paid top price of €660,000 (A$1.122m) for Irish-bred 2YO filly Elusive Wave (Elusive City-Multicolour Wave, by Rainbow Quest) at the 1-day Arqana Arc De Triomphe Sale at Saint-Cloud. Elusive Wave (consigned from trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) finished runner-up just 24-hours later in the Gr1 Prix Marcel Boussac/Criterium Des Pouliches (1600m) at Longchamp. Elusive Wave was originally a €20,000 (A$34,000) yearling & previously this year won her initial 3 starts, including France's Gr3 Prix Du Calvados (1400m) at Deauville & Listed Prix Roland De Chambure (1400m) at Longchamp.
